Default Terrible sqeak in front-end 250EX

I dont have a 250 EX but I have a very annoying sqeek from my front end also. I have tried to pinpoint the noise but cant. It is so loud that people can hear me coming by my front end noise instead of engine noise. But reading this post I am going to take my shocks of to narow it down.

I don't know if "Lethal" is being serious, but I would not take his advice. Besides squeeking, the bushing inside my lower shock mounts was pitted. It's not a difficult task to grease this and it is a common malady of the 250EX. Give your EX a little TLC.

Not being serious about what? the mud part? That was a just a joke. But, in all seriousness, after I tried the WD-40, I gave up and just kept riding with it. It drove me to the brink of insanity, but, whenever we hit the lakes and I got the A-arms in the mud or water, it stopped for about a day or two till it dried out. So, mud or water can offer a temporary fix, but I really dont know what it was that I did that got rid of that awful sqeak other than just "ride it out".
