Default Terrible in front-end 250EX

I've got a terrible sqeak in the front end of my '02 250 EX. It's driving me nuts!!! As many know, there are no grease nipples on the 250EX. I've sprayed the entire front-end with penetrating oil numerous times but I still have the damn sqeak! I can't exactly pin-point where the sqeak is coming from - - just that it sqeaks when I push down on the front-end.

Anybody know how I can solve the problem? Thanks in advance for your advice.

I've had the exact same problem with mine. It was annoying as hell. I tried
greasing the shocks and WD40 on the shocks and wheels but still had that
freaking squeek. Ultimately it just went away after I washed it a couple times
and hit a few jumps. Who knows?? But now my steering squeeks all the time

I have this same exact problem too. Mine sounds like it's coming from the front right shock. Mine doesn't squeak all the time though, it will squeak for a few ride then it will go away for awhile. It's annoying as hell and i've tried a lot of things to get ride of it but nothing really works

My buddies does that too. Me and him thought about it for a while and still couldn't figure it out. We sprayed the shocks down with that PB stuff. Have you guys used that stuff that stuff is great well, anyway sorry I can't be of more help and good luck with it. If you find out how to make it stop post a topic on it. Its driving my friend crazy too.

Just take off the shocks and grease the bolts. It'a about a 10 minute job and you may have to do it every few months.

With all due respect, I think moto93 is almost correct. Have had this problem with my 2002 250EX. First time I tried to cure it I only greased the bolts and reinserted. Didn't help for long. Second time I noticed that there are bushings the bolts go through. Pushed these out and greased between them and the A arm end tube (sorry for amatuer description) as well as bolts. Much better results this time, but expect to have to do it 2-3 times a year depending on how much you ride it and wash it.

This is the ONLY issue I had with my 2002 250EX in 2 years (purhcased in June 2001). Great little bike if you can live with its limitations.

Much like everyone else, I too have had this demon squeak from hell invade my 250. It drove me insane for about 2 months before it finally went away. I tried WD40 and greasing everything I could. Nothing worked...it just kinda faded away. To my knowledge, it hasnt squeaked like that since. Every now and again I may get a small one, but nothing that last for more than a second. Just let it run its course and go away on its own...just let it be, the easiest thing I can recommend is ride it as often as you can, it will go away faster(I think, well, it worked for me).

Same problem here!! Dealer said to spray WD40 into the shocks. Didn't do a thing!! I am going to try greasing the bolts.

Nope, mine dont do it no more, I got out there and jumped up and down on the pegs and front bumper earlier today...not a squeak...I just let it fade away. Just try to endure it for a few more weeks and check it again. Get some good ol' mud in there and let it work its magic, lol.
