beat a raptor

A stock Raptor can be had with the mods that Ridley just described.
To give you a real world idea of what to expect. I had a CT440 w/ 39FCR and Graydon Proline's version of the Sparks X-6. Mid 40's Hp. That bike ran wheel for wheel up Comp or Olds at Glamis with my buddy's Raptor that had a high compression piston [stock bore], Hot cams stage I, Power Pro's X-6 copy [full system], filter and rejetted stock carbs. He was upset cuz he spent over $1000. And in the dunes I would lose him. Our other friend who has a 686 w/ FCR's, big valves, Hot cams Stage II, Dyna ignition and everything there was to buy blows by us going at least 15-20 mph faster. He revs out 4th gear on the hills where we are only pulling 3rd. CT charges about $2700 for an engine like my 440 [that includes the pipe and carb too]. My old 440 is on the same Ross piston since Dec 98. They built a very fun, very reliable and pretty fast engine, I'd recommend them in a heartbeat.

My bike which is listed below can keep up and beat most piped raptors. In the case that i lose is usually because the guy is a better rider than me. Like everyone knows shifiting can make all the diference in a drag. I dont drag at olds or any of those. My place is Boxcar.
