It's simple. First take off your left tire, then loosen your chain by loosing the four bolt on the back of your swingarm, then take off your spocket by taking off the four spocket allen bolts. It should slide right off.

You want to go bigger, or smaller??? I went one tooth larger, and the stock chain length is still long enough. Any larger, you will need a new, longer chain.

It's good it you want to pull wheelies in every gear and if you only want your quad to go 45MPH rather than 60.

Stock is 38/15, so you are going lower in front, and in back!!! One tooth in front=3 in back, so you are gearing down by 4 teeth total. I think it would be a BIG MISTAKE!!!! I tried 38/14 for a while. It was great fun for "play riding", but out on the trail, it just wasn't practical. Just punch the accelerator in any gear, and the front end would head for the sky. Got into trouble several times when I accelerated out of a turn, and did a wheelie and lost my steering!!

My compromise was to go 39/15, which I really like.

I'm going with a 36/15 setup. What can I expect? and is there any other low grade mods that I can do to get the best of both worlds. I already have a K&N Comp. air Filter. I'm thinking of putting some holes in the airbox lid. Any suggestions?

You are gearing up, so you can expect a loss of low end power, but an increase in high end speed. This should be a good setup if you ride mostly open country, but not the hot ticket if you are a tight trail rider.

I love the EHS Racing airbox lid, with Outerwears. Have you done the exhaust??? You know you will need to rejet when you mod the intake or exhaust, right????

I have a FMF pipe and everything was rejected when I had the K&N put on. I do a lot of trail riding and open riding. If I want good performance on the trail, should I go up to a 40t in the rear or just stick w/ the stock? On a side note, I have been reading a lot of threads and doing a lot of research on these forums and you seem like the person to go to, so I appreciate your advice!

reconranger,

if I add the EHS lid, what do you recommend that I rejet at? Should I buy a whole new kit or just work w/ the stock stuff? I found a dynokit for about $60. I'm not all that mechanically inclined but it seems pretty straight forward but if not, I have a buddy that is good w/ quads. Thanks again.
