And the 250x isnt that much faster maybe by like 1 mph..like someone else previously posted..but if you mod both of them the 300EX would be better than a 250x..you can mods a 300EX to be just as good if not better than a 400EX...but you cant do that with the 250x..

 

True the 250x has just a smidge more power (less than 1/2 horse)but all performance modifications are the same ,cams ,stroker kits ,exhausts,valves,pistons are all the same and true if you spent thousands and thousands on the motor and suspension to make it perform a as good as 400ex ,its kind of pointless when you can pick up 400exs so cheap. Not to mention the reliability issue when pushing the 300ex engine far beyond its design limits. It was worth it in the 80s and 90s to hop up 250xs and 300exs but now you can buy real performance quads for a decent price .
