400 EX popping !!!!!! any ideas ??????????
#1
One of the EX's I ride with has WB exhaust , CDI and was jetted and Dynoed by a local shop . It was taken there because it would pop every time you shifted , after it was rejetted it ran great for the first day then second day it started doing it all over again . So took it to another place to have the carb checked out to see if it needed a rebuild , the guy kept it for a day or so cleaned the carb and rode it and said the popping is gone and it is now fine .
Well no after riding it for about 5 hours its starting to pop again.
Any ideas ?????? other then upgrading with a new carb..... we would like to keep this carb do to other mods have been ordered (suspension/axel)

you try your manual? a lot of times they have a troubleshooting section that is useful. when you shift you're coming down on the RPM's, does it do the same in neutral when u snap the throttle real high and let it come back down to idle on its own?

Did you put new exhaust seals in when you changed your pipe. If there is a leak it will draw in fresh air into your exhaust when you let up and ignite the unburned gases in the exhaust. POW
