Don't get too discouraged with Honda, they do make some of the best quality stuff out there. It's just not always the fastest cutting edge tech stuff that has all the attention, but you know it will be a solid machine when it comes out. 400cc machines do seem to be kinda small for your flagship quad with all the big machines coming out.

Dude Ridley you are a big friggin LIAR. If anything is junk it is the Craptor. I love taking my 18 year old 3 wheeler and spanking those jokes of a quad in a drag, and then track racing or trail riding the craptor handles so bad that my slow stock 400ex eats it up! The 400 has better frame and swingarm than a craptor, ANYDAY! Tell someone else that crap, little guy!

[i]Kindve off topic, but has anyone put a cr250 engine in a 300ex frame? I think it might be too much vibration but not sure.
I would think that the frame is to crappy. It haven't happened to me but one of my friend have a 300ex and his frame is welded all over.

Guess you guys are right i love my 400ex and 250r's.And I feel very fortunate to have my quads. But I do think it is time for honda to make sumthin new
And the ex swing arms only suck cause they are short not good for hill climbing ive flipped mine 5or6 times hit a tree wide open in 4th gear with my front tire and never broke a thing..How do you consider that weak???
I also rode a raptor the other day and they suck with handeling but have alot of power.
I wouldnt trade my ex for it.

Craptors are not all they were hyped up to be, they are big, heavy and handle like crap. I'm not saying the 400 is the best, but craptors are weak for a big 660. Even the new YFZ spanks the weak craptor, If Honda comes through with the 450 the Craptor will really be hurting, that CRF450 engine is so advanced, even more so than the YZF450 engine. I hope Honda can come through soon so the Craptor and suckzuki fans shut their traps.

Yeah, the crf450 may be more advanced, I don't have the facts to prove/disprove, but the yzf450 is totally dominating the crf450 on the track, in bike form. Everyone knows that the crf450 is a lot more mild power then the yfz 450. I personally agree, I got the chance to ride both, and the yamaha 450 was a lot more "rip your arms off power" where the honda 450, was way less punchy. Don't get me wrong, I think the crf450 is a great motor, just wouldnt want to race one against anyone on a yamaha 450 thats all!
I have to admit though, the crf450 is a lot more easy to ride, with its more mellow powerband, "mellow" being compared to the yzf450, but certainly not mellow by anymeans. It will still get you into plenty of trouble!! Have fun out there!

RAPTORS are what they are all hyped up to be. Not for the racetrack maybe, but they are a great woods quad. There not heavy compared to a lot of the bigger cc quads out there! Yes, its going to be a little more top heavy, you can't help that, that 660 is a tall motor! "big"? how are they BIG? The thing is no "bigger" then anything else out there. I think you are thinking about the DS650 there pal!
Yes, the yfz did "spank" the raptor, but not in a drag race stock vs stock. your comparing apples to oranges. The yfz is a mx race quad, the raptor is not. I have both, I know what I am talking about! The yfz beats the raptor everywhere except for absolute topspeed, where the yfz really wasnt made to go topspeed, it was made to accelerate hard out of corners. I personally think that the yfz will be quit a bit faster modified then a equally modified raptor (topspeed), but I'll have to wait and see to find that out.
