The 04 Honda line is released and it's the same as last year, I was hoping for a update on the 400Ex at least. The exact same product from 99, all the competetion is getting way ahead of Honda. Yamaha has the Raptor and new 450, Suzuki and Kawasaki have the new 400, Kawasaki has the massive V-Twin and Polaris has the Predator. It would be nice to see Honda take the CRF450 engine and put it into a quad, that engine is bad ***! I was very impressed with the power of the CRF450 when I rode one. If Honda were to make a quad with that engine it would definitely smoke the competetion. I love my 400, but it's just not cutting it anymore! I never thought I would see Honda just play dead like this, hopefully they have something up their sleeves and in work right now, or else by the new 2 years their piece of the pie in sports will be pathetic.

instead of moaning all the time, just go and ride what you got and be happy. thats all people talk about on here is how much honda are lacking when it comes to fresh ideas, cant we change the subject like tell us what you ride or where you ride, things like that.

 

I won't be happy until I am riding a quad with a redesigned CRF450 engine in the frame, I and others have every right to moan. Honda has fallen way way behind the power curve in sports.

Why always complain, you gonna live your whole life bitter, just because honda hasn't released a new sport quad. They'll release one when they are ready, and if they don't go buy the z or they yfz450. I don't think complaining is the right thing to do. Too much complaining on this forum about "when honda is coming out with something new". Life is too short to always be complaining. Just be happy with what you got now.

 

they did change the 400ex, they added a 38 mm carb i think it could be 39 but im pretty sure its 38.

 

Quit complaining and build your own quad with a 450.

 

Build my own with a 450? I don't think so, I allready paid $5,500 for my quad, I don't need to shell out another $6,500 for a CRF450 to take the engine out of it and put it in my quad, retard.

 

You cant call him a retard because if you knew anything you dont need the entire crf450 bike, just the engine. Try having some fun on your quad instead of sitting online complaining how bad honda is. Its old allready. I cracked my 300exs frame and went out and bought a new frame and switched all the stuff around and cant wait to get back out there and ride it even though its only a 300. Dont take what you have for granted because your lucky you have it. I know tons of people who would love the thought of a 250ex sitting in their driveway and you bitc* about honda not making a new quad. this shi*s annoying.



Kindve off topic, but has anyone put a cr250 engine in a 300ex frame? I think it might be too much vibration but not sure.

 

RideRed, why don't you buy one of the other quads that you like? You may be surprised to find that Honda isn't the only company that makes nice machines. When Honda makes what you like, you can always go back. Being brand loyal isn't always the wisest decision. Honda makes good products, but in the ATV world they have a tendancy to stay away from the cutting edge of technology (except for transmissions). They are also very expensive.
Anyway, just a suggestion.
