Default Dial-A-Jet for a recon and what air filter?

Take note that the limiting factor for air flow on the Recon is the opening on the end of the snorkle!! Take a look, it is about the size of a nickle!! Putting a K&N on, isn't going to help if your air flow is restricted at the snorkle opening!! If you run in mud and water, just enlarge the opening, or for dry condidions, just vent the airbox lid.

Also, consider an aftermarket muffler. It doesn't help to put air in at one end, when you are corked up at the other. I put on an FMF Megamax II (along with the K&N and vented airbox lid) and the difference in power was very noticeable.

For the scratched plastic, try a product called "plastic renew" (PC Racing 909-698-4962). It might save you a bunch of money for new plastic.
