300ex Vs. WARRIOR
I have riden both. They are both very similar. Not sure about much of the specs but i know they are both bullet proof. Also where are you riding the most? Maybe you should consider a 400ex or something with a little more power. Both the warrior and 300ex are lower power machines. THey are great for begginers but if you are older or getting older the power will get boring fast.

300ex Vs. WARRIOR
Warrior is faster than the 300ex, but supposedly doesn't handle as well. Dirtwheels or ATV action did a shootout between these a few years ago. The Warrior pretty much won almost every category, then the magazine picked the 300 as the winner. Don't understand why.
As far as the price range goes, take a look at a lot of stuff and see where you fit in. Sometimes you may be about $400 more for say a 400ex or something better, and in the long run, that $400 won't mean much to you. Basically, don't jump on the first thing you see. Get a good feel for whats out there and get the right one the first time.

I have OWNED both. There is nothing similar about them! The 300 is light and agile, and makes a GREAT TRAIL BIKE. The power is mild, but mods up pretty well. I am 5' 7" and the bike just fits me, but I prefer to be on something larger, and more powerful.
The Warrior has a descent motor, but handles HEAVY! It really isn't that heavy, it just HANDLES HEAVY! It is not at all the agile trail bike that the 300 is. I would take a 2X4 Rancher over a Warrior, any time.
So, I say that if you are small (and are going to say small) get the 300. Otherwise, get one of the 400's, and definitely skip the Warrior.
