Only had it together for a few months now it needs ANOTHER headgasket. The stinking bolts come loose and they arent where you can get to them to check the torque reguraly. How do you deal with this BS. Its hard work changing a headgasket every 3 or 4 months. It isint my fourwheeler but It stays at my house and I usually help with all the work on it.

 

Well, the head bolts arent actually getting lose. They have nuts on top and they slowly back out but only the left side for some reason. I think we torqued them 5lbs over spec last time hoping it wouldnt happen again.

 

Ever try Loctite?

 

SPARKS has a $25.00 fix for you're stud problem. My buddies 440 blew two head gaskets until he sent his jug to SPARKS for their longer stud conversion. It has been trouble free since.

 

Do you send just the jug or do you send the case? 25 dollars + 30 bucks shipping both ways. Might be worth it considering how much trouble this BS is and how much a headgasket costs.

Think this could also cause it to smoke? the sucker has taken to smoking a bit lately until its gets hot.

 

like what moto93 asked... have you tried the red loctite?!?! Some reason this feels like deja vu asking this question...
