Default 300ex Starter died

Hi, My 300ex starter died last week. I've took it apart and machined the fins and rebuilt the brush. It is now working but It doesn'T HAVE any strenght ( I can stop it with my fingers). Is it really done or can I still rebuild it. Anyway, if it's die, is there any others atv or atc that use the same starter so I could get one on EBAY for not too much? Thanks

Dude Chill

If all else fails just buy a replacement 300ex starter.
You don't need to keep asking, "why isn't anyone helping". Just wait

Sounds like it needs rewound (wires are shorted from being to hot) or your commutator is shot and shorted.

Go to http://www.rockymountainatv.com
and at the top select all the information on your quad, then click go.
It will produce a list of all parts for your quad. Not sure if the part you need is on there.

Probably cost as much as a new one unless you can do it yourself. Ricky stator may be able to fix it..

Damn, a new one is more than 250$. I think I'm going to put a 250X case to get a kick start
