yeah i am considering getting a 400ex and i want to know what is the stock speed of it and can it outrun a stock kfx400 with a pipe,filter,and jet kit.

 

itll top out around 65, and r u saying the 400ex would have those mods?? even if it did have those mods i wouldnt know about it beating a z/kfx 400. keep waiting someone will know.

With a pipe, filter, and proper jetting, yes you can beat a KFX/Z400, but it's close. It will have alot to do with rider ability.

 

yea wit a pipe and jet kit u will beat a kfx cuz i was talkin to this kid that races flatrack and they had a bone stock kfx there and they had a radar gun that the pigs use and thety said top end was goin around 78 -80

 

Rider means more than anything. Are you talking about a drag race, a motocross race, or a trail race? In a drag, the 400ex will lose if all things are equal. The ex still will lose if its and jetted properrly piped.
In any other race, the rider will win.

 

I raced a friends polaris 700 on saturday . I don't know how accurate the speedo is on those, but I past him like he was standing still when he was doing 65mph.

 

i raced a 400ex with a pipe, filter,ignition, jets, 22 inch razors, 14 tooth front sproket and my Z is bone stock and it was no contest i beat him by many bike lengths.that's me..could be different with someone else.sorry.

 

my Z hit a top speed of 72mph

 

I am going riding this weekend. And I am going to find a z400 to race. I dont really care I am just tired of hearing about this stupid topic
