im about to buy new maier race cut plastic and i was wondering if maier plastic looks good on a honda 400ex. if you could just give me some input . thanks

 

Hey man,

I just put Maier on my EX and I am happy with how it LOOKS. However, the plastic mounts up a little different than stock, and by Different, I don't mean better. It's kind of a pain to get everything to fit right, and some drilling is involved and a few other things that don't make the experience fun. The plastic is also a little thinner than stock, and seems "crispier" so I don't know how it would hold up to rolling or something like that. If I wanted a Red or Yellow Ex I'd deffinatly have bought new stock plastic, but I wanted something different and didn't want to pay an arm and a leg for Fullbore.

All in all though I am happy with it, and for what I use my quad for it works perfectly fine.

One other thing to note is that you have to go with the Maier side panels (and I think Maier gas tank cover) also because it mounts different than stock. I'd imagine somebody who has fabricating skills could figure out how to fit the two together, but I just bought all of the panels.
