Flat Track Big Red 250es
I have a 250ES Big Red Three wheeler. It is set up for flat track (yes that is correct FLAT TRACK). I removed the rack and made new fender mounts. I have A hot cam and a custom variable timing unit to adjust time by the turn of a dial. It has bigger vavles and a carb from a john deer liquifire snowmobile. I was wondering what is best for a flat track Stiff suspension or a soft suspension for better traction on the straits.

Wow! I'd like to see pics of this machine. What class do they run you in? I doubt they'd let you out there with the quads do they?
The suspension depends on the track. It's been my experience on our local 1/4 mile oval that you want the machine set up real tight when the track is smooth. But after a hard rain there are nice ruts in the corners from water running down the banked turns and you need to loosen up the shocks quite a bit for that.

Sorry I dont have any pics of it but ill try and get some soon. It looks like a stock big red with low profile tires on the back and a narrow tire on the front. It has all the stock plastic on it because no one carrys aftermarket big red plastic, but it looks better because the rack is gone. I havent run it in a race yet thats why i was asking advice LOL. Im 16 and this is my first flat trak project. I have run it on an oval in the back yard. Its very impressive on the oval. I had to make new shock mounts to make it lower. I couldnt do much in the front. Ill have to get some triple trees and newer style forks so i can adjust the hieght.
