i have shown a few people my fourwheeler and they have all asked what dealer i got it from. i find that kind of funny considering it is an 87'. none of them knew much about atvs. but i thought that was still pretty cool. i ended up paying the $1750 he wanted. but it came with supposedly every stock peice , the old plastic and another k and n filter. and one question. i want to put the headlight back on so i can ride later but it is still red and will look really ugly with the black plastic. can i paint the headlight? can you buy the plastic for around the headlight in a different color? thanks

Yes you can get different colored plastic for the light. I believe that 2003 had the black plstic there. Go to Troy Racing and look at the microfische for the 300EX and see if it isn't available... Or if you want to go a little cheaper you can always paint it, but I would use the new Krylon Fusion paint - it is made for painting plastic. You say you have the stock plastic? What kind of shape is it in?

dirtgirl, my friend said i could save up and just buy a aftermarket headlight. he said that paint doesn't stick to plastic very well at all. how much is this paint you are talking about and about how much is it. on the troy racing site they didn't have 2003 300ex "stuff". unless i was looking in all the wrong places i couldn't find the black cover for it. thanks. matt
