I have a k&n on my banshee and 300ex and they let in way too much dirt, get a twin air, i heard they give the most horses, my shee had to have a rebuild from that k&n , but the k&n give it a pretty good bit of hp.

A properly maintained K&N filter will flow the same amount of air, if not a little more than the foam filters, and will not pass dirt. If you run them dry like many people do, then you will pass dirt, the same way you will pass dirt through a foam filter without being properly oiled. The thing is many foam filters are almost half the price of K&N, so you can buy two foam filters(UNI, Twin Air, etc) for the price of one K&N...which isn't a bad idea, so you have one spare one cleaned up always, waiting to be tossed on. I have owned both, and haven't had problems with either.
