i can out turn my friend on his 400 in the tight turns, but like said before, the 400 will own a straightaway. the 300 sets lower, and from my point of view it awesome in the tight trails.

I have had My Z400 for 3 weeks and only have ridden on trail so far. I have to say the suspension is Awesome!
Today I tryed my WIfes Z250. the Susension seems a little stiff. and on quick turns it wanted to get onto the 2 outside wheels a lot.
howerver I may have been riding it a little hard and I am 200#

For clean trails (trails without a lot of obstacles like BIG rocks and fallen logs) there's nothing like a good fast sports quad. The z400 is the king of this type or riding right now, it's faster than the ex and handles at least as good or better and it handles a lot better than a raptor. The raptor is still a great quad for trails too, it'll scream and if you're good you can slide it around the turns. If there's a lot of deep mud puddles and logs or large rocks, I prefer a sport utility such as the prairie 650 or a smaller vinson500, eiger, or rancher. I think i'm going to like the new 400 rancher the best of any of the sport utilities.
