is $372.94 a good deal for a 416, it inclueds the shop work, boreing, etc. Or is there any better deals out there.

 

Well piston and gasket set is around $120.00 boring $40.00. $212.00 labor not good for you.

 

buy a 440 kit

 

a friend of mine priced a 416 kit for something like $800. i think that might have also included a bigger cam and getting it ported.

You should be able to, i've talked to a few places and they said that with a je 10.8:1 i'll be ok on pump. It all depends on compression.

 

it will be ok on pump gas and i would say that is a great deal, call that place that i told you about and talk to pam, there is a few things you should know about the 440 kit, you might not like it. i think you would like that 416 kit.

 

If you are getting a 416 you will want to do alot more then just bore it. Wont make muhc of a dif.

 

you mean like cams, porting, head work, that kind of stuff. would it be ok just to get the kit done and not all that other stuff?

 

It would be ok but i don't think you'd gain alot with just the bore you need cams to help it breath
