Default 250x Upgrades

What would the best upgrades that I can put on a 250x to give it more power, torque, and acceleration..I also want it to be able to do wheelies without popping the clutch..So far I was thinking about a high compression piston, .40 bore, exhasut system (Pro circuit T4), TwinAir filter, holeshot tires, and possibly a Hinson clutch, do you think this will do what I want??Or do you have any recomendations on what would be best to get the power, torque, and acceleration I want??

Hi there.I have an 87 250x.All I have done to mine is a full FMF exhaust system, rejetted carb, and K&N air filter with a drilled air box lid and mine will pull a wheelie with no problem.I like the 250x for an all around trail/fun bike.

With a few engine mods and stuff like exhaust etc. can the 250x rip??I am going to be trailriding and stuff like that..but there are some straight like 25-30 miles long and I dont want to get left in the dust..

A piped and jetted 250X will easily hang with 300ex's.I just trail ride with mine and it has plenty of power for what I do with it.However it IS just a 250 and it will only do so much.I have no complaints with mine, they are pretty much bulletproof.
