Fuel-injected 440EX with all the aluminum goodies, reverse, selectable 4wd, and weigh under 400 lbs. I'd choose a 440 over a 650 because it can be air cooled and can rev higher than the bigger 4-strokes.

If yamaha would just throw the YZ426 engine into the wolverine I would be a happy man.

How about a 400EX with a team honda racing exhuast, cam, larger carb, 11.1 compression, and head porting from the factory, plus reverse and still keep the price around the same as a banshee or lower?

Install a real 400cc engine out of a polaris 400 sport in your 400ex chassis.

There are a lot of misguided individuals here.

Why on earth would I want a flat running 2 stroke that puts out roughly the same rwhp as a mildly tuned 4 stroke of the same size???

I have had a 400L before, no thanks (for the wife, maybe, but not for me)...

I also find it quite interesting that you (polaris800twin - in a trailblazer no less... Sounds like someone's trying to impress us) complain about others in the Polaris forum, then come here and do the same thing you complain about. Noted...

And now it's time for Deep Thoughts, by polaris800twin:

"i have never looked at the honda forum because i have no interest in them"

"why is it they(honda owners)come over to the polaris forum(are they that bored with there unexiciting rides).i'm am not interested in there opions as they are talking out there *ss."

"Again, I ask why are non polaris owners talking smack on this forum. I don't recall you asking any honda or yamaha owners there opion..."

"I don't want to start a bashing contest."

Hmmm...

Looks you were quite accurately branded (by TXDOC and XPLOR) in the thread that spawned those comments..... Now go away.

From your response it's quite clear I was right about Honda riders talking out their *ss,It's quite obvious you know nothing about polaris except maybe what you try to learn on the polaris forum. A 400ex trying to make 60hp and equal amounts of tq is only a dream. As far as trying to impress you 160hp in a 86 atc 250r would be a nightmare you couldn't handle. And now for my deep thoughts, up until that time I had never looked at the Honda forum,But from the responses I recieved curiosity got the best of me. I wanted to see why Honda riders were so obsessed with the Polaris forum. After reading some of topics and the post that went along with them I realized that all you talk about is old school technology and the hope that the rubicon will finally get Honda up to speed with the modern atv world. Seems you've spent quiet a bit of time trying to learn from Polaris. When you build superior products the competition will always try to find fault, what we call bashing. Makes me feel important that someone went through that much trouble to quote me.If I missed anything be sure and let me know. PS. A flat power curve is what is ideal on any ultimate quad.

You have some real issues you need to deal with.

Do you not know that the forum database can be searched? I can assure you that this is not your first time here in the Honda forum. I counted 5 other posts and countless other visits. As far as dates, you may try to argue, but what's the point, you're here all the same. You have shown what you are doing on this forum - you have offered nothing constructive.

60hp from a stock 400L? Time to wake up and go to school, Davie...

We Honda riders wonder why you Polaris fruitcakes (not all Polaris riders are fruitcakes, I think you get the drift) are so intrigued by our rides too, some of you folks spend a lot of time in our forum as well. I invite all Polaris owners to come here and talk with us, but not for the reasons you are here. A little "bantering" (as mentioned in a previous post) is cool, but your posts go far beyond that.

It wasn't much trouble quoting you, I browse many forums, because, although I choose Honda, I am interested in other rides and rider opinions & tips. Your posts stand out as some of the most hate filled ones I have seen in a while. Time to look in the mirror and ask yourself what you see and why.

Flat power curves can be good, but the "flat" I was talking about was not in reference to the shape of the power curve.

If your 800cc Polaris does exist, and your older than 13: you're not the guy that was at Little Sahara, OK on snake hunt weekend that smoked his rubber band trying to race the "big boys" are you?

I still find your quotes most interesting, and BTW, we have owned a 400L, it was stolen, we celebrated when the insurance check arrived. Lots of trouble with that bike. Even given my previous experience I would consider giving Polaris a 2nd chance for a ride for my wife, but probably never for myself.

I'm glad I can make you feel important, it seems that you have low self esteem and are really in need of "feeling important".
