I just picked up my new 2000 440EX from the dealership. Before you ask, yes it is a 400EX with the big bore kit already installed on it. Right now I am working on getting it broke in. As soon as I do, LET THE MODIFICAITONS BEGIN. I have been reading up on all the mods that are posted and I was wondering if anyone has made any conclusions as to what exhaust is the best?? The bike is stock right now, other than the big bore kit. It is definately going to get a cam, K&N, jet kit, exhaust, new rev limiter, and possible some counteshaft gearing changes, but I was wanting any and all recomendations that ANYONE has. I have 2 440EX's and I just got out of the shop a couple weeks ago. I have the FMF powercore IV pipes. They work great for me!! I actually put them on prior to adding the big bore kit and got a HUGE increase in throttle responce from the bike. I've had FMF
pipes on all of my quads in the past (banshee's & 250R's) so my opinion might be a little biased but heck.....FMF always seems to deliver......Anyway, good luck and hope to see you in Glamis one day :->
