go to walmart and get a can of tri-flow. its not cheap. it has teflon in it and works excellent on bushings etc. and it wont wash off either,.
your susp squeak [if thats what it is] is common to all things with rubber bushings....hehe
i've had my best luck with tri-flow.
another possible choice is an aerosol that turns into a lithium based grease, kinda like chain lube. Honda makes a very good one.
plus GM dealers have a penetrating lubricant called 'heat valve lubricant' but thats not really for rubber parts. thats for high heat metal problems.
hope this heps ya......

Do you have a skid plate installed on nyour bike?
If so take it of and see if thats the problem
To isolate the noise you can use a LONG metal butted screwdriver and place the tip on various places on the motor...this will transmit the nnoise PM me with a bit more info and we can figure it out

Does it sqweek only when it moves? How about if its idling? If it sqweeks when its moving then its most likely a bearing somewhere, a suspension bushing or a-arm bushing. Lube it all up and take it for a spin. If it sqweeks when its not moving then its something to do with the clutch, tranny or engine.
Good luck.
Good luck.

I have a pretty good guess.... (if you have the stock exhaust)
Is it more like a chirping sound? Does it go away when you rev the motor some - do you hear it more around idle? I would point a finger at the exhaust (not the heat shield).
Before I put a different pipe on my 400ex, I had an squeeky, chirpy noise coming from around the engine, pipe or silencer that was impossible to pinpoint. It was the kind of sound that moved around the quad - I could never tell where it was coming from. Frickin' drove me nuts cause I couldn't find it. I was worried as well, since it kinda sounded like metal-on-metal contact, and it too was in sync with the engine.
Anyway, if this sounds right to you, don't worry, it's actually the silencer. Once replaced with an aftermarket silencer, the sound I had went away.
