How is this possible-the yamaha forum was talking about how piped blasters are beating 400ex's

 

It would take more than a pipe to put a blaster in front of a 400ex.

blasters need to be pretty tricked out to beat a stock 400 my freind has a 93 blaster wit a rebuild and new top end kit full fmf weisco reeds k/n air filter and i can't rember the compression ratio but it still does'nt have enough power to run wit my 400

 

the only time I would beat 400's on my blaster would be if the rider sucked.

My brothers blaster will smoke a 400ex. A 2 stroke puts out twice the power of a four stroke because it has the power stroke every two strokes instead of every four. So that evens up the cc's(the blaster's 195cc). The blaster has a full fmf exhaust,v-force reeds, vitos jetting, and has just had the engine rebuilt bored out 5cc and put in racing pistons. Runs on 22 inch turf tamers on douglas rims. Tops out around 75 or 80. two strokes kill four strokes, why do you think gncc cross country 2 stroke cc limit is around 250 while the four stoke limit is at 450?
I'm in the market for a two stroke, something born to rev, I'm looking at blasters and 250r's. If you question the theory on two stroke's having twice the power as four strokes look it up, I've heard it so many times in magazines and from experts in this fields.

 

If that blaster beats a stock ex, a cam, piston and slip-on should more than fix that.

 

they call the blasters because to make the fast, they will blast a big frekin hole in your pocket.

 

well, the only time a blaster would beat a 400ex would be if the 400ex flipped, the rider was on a load of crack, or if the 400ex didnt have a rider, or it was out of gas, or blew up.
