Twice as much power is only an approximation. With 2-strokes, you get a whole bunch of junk being burnt with the gasoline. The oil is mixed into the compression chamber with the gas and it doesn't give out twice as much power as a 4-stroke with the same displacement. The way I see it, it's more about 1.5 times the power of a 4-stroke with the same displacement. You know all that exhaust that comes out of your 2-stroke engine? That's unburnt oil. This oil gets in the way of the power so therefore more pollution is created in the compression chamber than power compared to a 4-stroke. During the power-stroke, only about 30% is actual power and the rest is friction and pollution (I think there was one more thing though). Since a 2-stroke creates 6X more pollution than a 4-stroke, then it's obvious that there would be less power during the power-stroke.

In order to get more power out of a 2-stroke engine, people use Super Gas instead of regular. Super Gas generally doesn't make a difference in 4-stroke engines, but it does make a difference in 2-strokes because it blows up easier. My old 1980 Ski-Doo Citation (270cc) is a 2-stroke (like many snowmobiles still are) and using regular gasoline, it goes around 65KM/H. When we used super, it went about 70KM/H.

[i]A 2 stroke puts out twice the power of a four stroke because it has the power stroke every two strokes instead of every four. So that evens up the cc's(the blaster's 195cc).
Uhh.....That would be a big NEGATIVE!

My friend's '99 Warrior beats my friend's '98 Blaster. Warrior is 350cc while the Blaster is 200cc 2-stroke.

Oh Yeah big big NEGATIVE!

Now if you said different power I would agree, but a two stroke 200 cc is not like a four stroke 400cc.... no way no how

That "law" Kinda works when you're talking about a 250r, quadracer 250/500 , bansheee and tecate. ( A stock banshee can beats a stock rappy, a stock R is almost as fast as a predator......) But the blaster kinda sucks since it's equal with a 300ex stock for stock. So it would be more the 1,5X more power law for the blaster
