I was talking to a guy who has a 300EX for sale and Im going to buy it if I get the right deal on it..anyways he said something about it having a hotbox and I never heard of it, and he said if you buy a diffrent muffler, header, airfilter, and rejet the carb that it will make a 300EX run like a 400EX if not better/faster than one. Is this true. I looked one up and they costed $500. Do they actuall make it like a 400EX with header, muffler, airfilter, and rejetting the carb? Let me know, and if it doesnt make it like a 400EX like that, what does it feel like, more power than a warrior?? Or does it just seem like a 400EX??

Theres no way even with the mods that the 300 can touch the 400. The guy was filling you full of B.S.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img]

 

dont start dissing the 300ex just because its smaller,and yes there are ways a 300ex can touch a 400ex, its only 10mph faster than the 300ex.

 

the 400ex is better than the 300ex in any and every category.

 

No it wont run like a 400ex. I have a friend I ride with every time, his wife has a 300 ex, bored out .040, cam, hi comp piston, DMC exhaust, K&N air filter, rejetted, and it wont touch a stock 400ex. But it really will wake it up.

 

But does it have a hotbox on it???I didnt sound like it....

 

what is a is a hot box?
It sunds like a pipe, filter, jet kit. Some companies call it a power up kit. If that is what it is, it has that and much more.
BTW, the 300ex I was listing was professionally built, and it wont hang witha piped and jetted Warrior..

 

I had a 300ex that had a High compression piston, carb, hot cam and fmf pipe and i could run right there with a 400ex..
