Default Rincon pilot screw

I have adjusted the pilot screw on my Rincon for high altitude riding (in 1/2 turn) but I would like to know what exactly that does? Would it lean out the mixture??

yes turning in the idle mixture screw leans out the mixture but I would leave it alone and just turn up the idle they are all a little on the lean side any how

schef, i ran at 7000 feet this weekend with the pilot adjustment and it made a pretty good difference compared to what have had in the past without adjusting for alt. also, your running 27's, did you do any lift? if not, have any trouble rubbing?

I ended up getting to an altitude of 12,900 on my ride (see a few images from the trip). I did two complete turns in and the Rincon ran fair enough all the way up. As for the tires, I have written a review of my thought that can be found HERE.

Hey schef,
GREAT pics and write up on the tires! I love to see fellow Rincon riders enjoying what their machine can do. By the way how do I get to that trail???

This site should have all the info you need. But be warned, finding the "Engineer's Pass" (or Engineering... I can't remember exactly) is a tough thing to do. I was riding with a guy that has been there before for about 6 hours before we found the right trail. But it is worth it!! Some of the sites in that area were by far the most impressive I have seen. That may not mean much because I am not too much of a traveler, but the two other guys I rode with thought the same as me... and they have been to Australia, New Zealand, and Hawaii.
