I have a set of Works Performance shocks on my 450ES. They are good shocks, adjustable and can be rebuilt. They seem to work good for my type of riding, but I use my ATV for mostly utility type riding conditions. I did build a cabin in which I had to haul all supplies in with my bike and these shocks performed well under very heavy loads. The price for a complete set was about $650. You have to decide if its worth it for your application. The stock shocks do break in after a while.

PAPICO, YAMAHONDA -
Did you put the Works all the way around or just on the front end? Seems the rear suspension would be less critical to a good ride and handling than the front. Had heard that the Works were slightly longer than the stocks; were they? - would be nice to get a slight lift without installing a lift kit. Bottom line: Is the difference in ride/handling/ground clearance worth the cost of the shocks? Would you buy again? Thanks.
