if you now how to ride your 400 you pass your buddies on there 250's


99 426ex really fast

 

I have a 86 trx250r it has a wiseco +0.20 piston,boyeson reeds,FMF gs fatty pipe,power core 2 silencer,porting workuni filter 152 main jet.lots of other stuff but not to the motor.my cuz has a 99 400ex dynojet kit k&n filter and some other stuff he won't tell me. anyway when I had my 18/11/8 holeshot mx's on and he had his 20/11/9 holeshot a/t's on I could beat him barely on top end(this was with my stock pipe and silencer but all the other mods are the same)I mean he was a tapped in 5 and I was tapped in 6 I barely beat him really it was who got the holeshot. I can't say enough good things about the 400ex and since u already have a 250r I say go for it.it won't be a let down at all.

 

Thanks for all the response everyone. It is entertaining reading everyone's posts, and reading differing oppinions. Here's another question, how much faster would a pipe, jetting, hiflow airfilter make the ex? Also throw in a rev box. 5mph more?
