400EX is 375 pounds, 397cc's, and 5 speed. The XR200 is 223 pounds, 195cc's and a 6 speed. So I think it would be close between the two with the same weight riders and both with equal riding ability. Anymore comments are greatly appreciated.

 

it would be close, but one thing ive beatin an xr200 on my warrior so it cant be that close

 

My friend had an Xr 200 , I could beat him from start to finnish , long or short , i would leave him and never look back.

 

I would bet the 400ex would win ive ridden my friends mid 90s 200xr and It wasnt all that fast but it sure is fun to ride

 

My friend also has a XR200, we drag raced down a long straight stretch when I only had a FMF slipon and I smoked him.

 

thanx..im pretty confident I can beat him, ive ridden a 400ex only once so i cant really tell how fast it is, but ive ridden the XR a lot and it doesnt seem that fast

 

Hey, I own a 2002 XR200, some work done to it, exhaust, filter thats about it. I really dont see my bike beating a 400!. My Dad has the XR400 which has got the same motor as the 400EX, that motor rips, totally blows away my bike, no doubt that the motor would perform different on a quad, but still I don't see it beating my bike. However, my friend is seriously considering buying the 400EX, we'll let you know what happens.

 

my friend has a crf230, and i waist him off the start and am slightly faster in the end. The xr200 is slower than a crf230, so i wouldn't think you'd have a problem beating that xr200.

 

I have a 1999 XR200r and a 2003 400ex. My 400 beats it everytime.

 

If the XR200 is stock then you'll win on the 400.
