Default rubicon toe out of whack

Hello atv riders. This is a great site. My question for all is my son has a 2003 honda rubicon 4x4. He said he hit a tree stump whith the right front. It really messed the toe end up. It is toed out about an inch and a half. I get the job to work on it. I can find nothing bent in the a frames top or bottom, but notice that the top a frame may be foward about a half an inch(compared to the left side measurement) which would explain the toe out condition. But i find nothing bent by eyesight or straight edge and measurements. The frame itself is un hurt as i can clearly see NO buckles, paint popped, off etc,and apppears straight. He thought he hit the stump with the lower a frame area (and not all that hard). I could prabably set the toe end and call it good but im not satisfies till i find the problem. We did try a brand new lower aframe but that solved nothing. Have any readers expeirenced trying to find the bent parts that are invisible to see? Thanks in advance.

Default rubicon toe out of whack

If he hit it with the wheel, he may have bent the steering arm a little, the one with the tie rod ends. I just adjusted mine after it tweaked a little and has been fine ever since.

Default rubicon toe out of whack

We have a ATV exactly like you described, we found the upper control arm rear support bracket (toward engine) was pushed in a little, very difficult to see unless you look really well. the fix would require grinding of the support bracket and rewelding to original angle or installing some kind of shim to bring the rear of the control arm out so the camber is correct. we also noticed that the ball joints were off a little compared to the opposite side.

Hope it helped. We just aquired a wrecked 2001 rubicon and are in the process of repairing it
Anyone know were to locate a used rear axle it was bent also.

This is our second honda
first is a 2002 honda Foreman 450 runs great so far,
