Default Dumping Clutch¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿

It seems the only way I can wheely my new ex is by dumping the clutch. Is there a better way? Is this really bad on the clutch? Please don't laugh, I don't much about atv's. Thanks.

how much do u weigh cause thats probably why. But u shouldnt be dumping the clutch u dont have to on the 400. Go to the back of the seat in first or second and hit the gas and pull on the bars and it should go up. Keep trying u will get the hang of it.

just sitting normal the 400ex should wheelie uncontrolablly in first second and in 3rd and 4th gears with a slight tug on the bars. the first time i rode the 400ex i was struggling to keep the front end down so when taking off i would take off in second and lug it in 3rd then go wide open so i wouldnt flip it.

2nd gear at low speed, sit twards the back of the seat and gun it. The front end should come up.
When I ride wheelies I have my right foot ready to push the brake if the front end comes up to high.

It takes practice.

I weigh bout 160 and I did an 1/8th mile wheelie (with both feet on the grab bar). For Hondas anyway you haveta warm them up b4 they will ride wheelies i sit there and ride it hard for about 15 minutes then when its warmed i can pull EZ wheelies on my 250.Put both feet on the grab bar, arch your back, and (make sure its in 1st)ride off the clutch slow then jus jam the throttle.

Pothead that is not a good idea it is just a good way to get hurt. I have been riding since i was 2.5 years old. I know what doing what your talking about does to your body and i have the scars to prove it. You can wheelie anything it is all about balance. Just keep trying.

You should warm it up gently not just flooring it for 15min......

Depending on how long you want to ride it before rebuilding that is.
