big gun is the best

It doesn't really matter of what I think the best is! I heard in mags and the forums that the white bros. pipe is really good!! I have the LRD and I really like it! But, the word going around is the White Bros and it was rated better than the Big Gun.

Emon,
If you think the Big Gunn Exhaust is good, I know somebody that will GLADLY sell you his off his 400EX...
It broke in half on him this weekend, and while trying to rig it so we could keep riding, I noticed that it sticks out beyond the rear grab bar... So IF you stand it up, guess what gets ripped off first???... I would think that they could have designed it a little better than that..
I saw a White Bros. E-Series on a 400 and it didn't look like that... Guess SOMEBODY was paying attention..

I am not impressed with the assembly of the Big gun pipe at all.Gaps around can and end pieces filled with silicone, cheesy.Sheet metal screws holding end end caps and can together on some instead of rivets. This is on brand new units still on floor in box.The two best systems are the DMC/Duncan double barrel complete or the White Bros Promeg complete.Fit and finish of each are excellent. Both use larger headers which are perfect for moded motors. Both extremely close in power on dyno considering the Promeg uses disc spark arrestor and Dmc is uncapped.Thats why I got Promeg, need power and sparky here in Calif.

this weekend I rode with a guy that had a big gun complete system and it just ripped...we would be riding down the trail in or 4th gear and he could just tap the throttle and wheelie...he had the little end peice off of it and it sounded great! man this other guy had a cobra on his 300ex......gosh that can't be legal......I never heard mine when I was ridng behind him.

I have a Big Gun complete system on my 400, and it does NOT extend past the rear grab bar. In fact it is a few inches behind it. I have flipped my 400 completely over and no harm came to the pipe (can't say the same thing for my rear end and the plastic). I am pleased with the performance, and the overall fit and ceramic finish of the pipe, with the exeception of the joint where the silencer goes on over the headpipe. I also dislike the silicone seal, but have had no problems with it. A better solution would have been a clamp seal. Other than that, the pipe sounds good, and adds a great deal of low to mid-range torque and HP over the stock system. Not sure about the WB system, but unless your into all out racing, and have a modified motor, I doubt that there is much of a real HP difference between the two units.
