Is a 300ex good for me?
#1
Right now I'm driving a 1986 Honda fourtrax 250 (it's a utility). I find it kind of boring though because I can't really pull catwalks and it doesn't go that quick. I'm wondering if a 300ex would be a good bike for me. I want a reverse gear because I'll need it (so I won't be gettign the 400ex). Will a stock 300ex be quick enough to keep up to a warrior? I know the warrior will beat it, but will it smoke it or just beat it in a 1/4 drag?
Oh and what simple mods can I give a 300ex to beat a warrior in a 1/4 mile drag?

300ex's speed is almost equal to warriors without a 6th gear. It is really close so on a short drag you won't be far behind. What size are you. I think anyone over 200 pounds would be too big for a 300ex. If you want more info on the handleing and such of a 300 then look at the reveiws on this website, there is one of the 300ex.

I am 16 years old and 160 pounds (I gain ten pounds a year if you look at it mathematically). As I've mentioned above, I want a reverse gear, so the 400ex isn't a good choice. I've made a thread about sprockets and it also concerns me and a 300ex. The warrior is fast, but it's a little too low and my friend has had trouble with his '99. My dad really thinks Hondas are good machines and I do too so I'd stick with the 300ex. I can modify it if I wanted and I could probably beat a stock Warrior right?

I'm wondering if there's a way to give the 300ex more power. You know how you can make the Blaster a 240, well can you make the 300ex a 350 or something? Can you add a different exhaust system to add power?

they have a 385 kit and a 330 kit, but that costs around 1.4k and labor+extra fee's afterwards
