I was wondering if everything in the 400ex's front end (tie rod, ball joints, shocks, a-arms) fit on a 300ex. Almost all my front end is totalled so I could get that. Is it better or should I get 300ex things? How about the 250R front end on a 300ex

 

Everything from the 400 fits the 300. The shocks are too long and need lowering bracket or a slight frame mod. The 300 shocks are too short, something in the middle would work great about 14.5 inches if I remember right.

 

Every so often, a guy sells a bracket on e-bay that lets you mount the 400ex shocks and a-arms on the 300ex. The bracket bolts to the frame and provides a place to mount the shocks.

Yep, 250r front end will work. Thats what I got on mine.
