today, me and 2 friends went riding wheelies down the road, we saw a cop and he flashed his lights for us to stop, i was thinking OH SH*T!, the cop was cool, he said " you boys know better than to ride on the road" and told us to not come on the road again in a nice way, so we didnt. We lucked out, but i think it was because he did the report on my friend when he was in the hospital after his crash a week ago.

 

Get this down here in Ontario you get a licence plate and you have to have insurance and you still can't ride on the road.

It's because people like my friend do stupid things. He was driving through town and a cop tried to stop him but he just ran away. Well then he had 4 after him and he thought he outran them and then they we waiting at his house.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-disgusted.gif[/img]

 

Here in Utah, there are city ordinances in all the cities that are connected with the Paiute Trail System that allow you to ride your ATV on the streets legally. Cities like Marysvale, Circleville, Monroe, Richfield, Salina, Sigard, Junction, Beaver, Koosharem, and more.

The Paiute Trail system has over 2500 miles of trails; only about 1500 are shown on maps. The mail trail goes through several cities, 3 National Forests, several different counties, and is roughly a 275 mile loop, plan on three days. You can drive into town and gas up at the local service stations, eat at the local eateries, and stay in a motel or bread and breakfast. You can also camp out along the trail.

We have visited the Paiute Trails 3 times and put over 700 miles on our ATV there and not even put a dent in all the trails. It is a great place.

 

how do u go about finding out your local law?......other than gett'n stopped?.....by the way look at my pics at the raptor on 20's ....thats what i've been told around here....the tires aren't rated for on road use...states on tire ..OFF ROAD USE ONLY so can i buy sum 12" tires off an import car an register like a cycle??????...abiding by all law and all..of cource!!! the county cops 'round here no me by my 1st name paid several fines...dickhe@)$..oppss sorry no profanity sorry..almost let it slip..mostly the old deputy's giv'n me trouble, the younguns prolly do it themselves..they wave and smile and drive rite onby:-)) Geo metro tires on my foreman??????

the "Not for highway use" is stamped by the manufacturer and is a recommendation. the law here doesnt talk about tires needing DOT approval or anything like that. it also seems that somehow, that recommendation just got ground off by my dremel by accident.
