Which one would you do? You can get the 426 kit, cam, springs, port work, high compression piston, and high rev box (if it's not already in the kit) for the same price as the 440 kit. BUT, the 440 is actually only a 435. So which do you think would run better? I would put my money of the 426 with all the other mods instead of a 435 alone.

You say which kit, Who makes a 426 kit, I know CT racing has a 440 kit and also IMS, but I didn't know anyone made a 426 kit.

place in ohio (landcaster) 740-654-0734 called
pro fab atv has a great combo. well worth the money.

1.bored to a 426
2.11:1 piston
3.3 angle port job
4.web cam 450/451
5.rev box
then you need a pipe,k/n,jet kit. it is very

The large difference in price is only true if you are stupid enough to order the "kit" from someone like IMS. Use your heads guys! All companies like IMS are doing are ordering a couple of pieces, jacking up the price, calling it a "kit", and laughing all the way to the bank. You can order the parts yourself directly from Wiseco. The piston (complete with rings and pin), gaskets, and sleeve will cost you $200 if you order them yourself directly from Wiseco. The 440 (89mm) and 426 (88mm) pistons COST THE SAME. The gaskets COST THE SAME. You will have to spend an extra $65 for a sleeve if you go the 440 route. The other difference in cost is the machine work. A bore job (what you will need for the 426) will usually cost about $50. I have found a place to do the necessary machine work for changing my cylinder sleeve for $75 (the secret here is to find a shop that actually does the work, and does not send it to another shop). So far, I see a difference of $65 + $25 = $90. If you can get head porting, a cam, and a rev box for $90, let me know where!
