35 stock but they can run well over 100 horses with mods.

Who claims 100hp with a 250r kit?

 

Ive seen them. Im not saying a big bore kit is gonna give 100hp but its very possible with some cash.

 

I dont know about 100hp, but there is a red 250 that hangs out at sand mountain. He waits for a group of banshees to go up. When they get 1/3 the way up he takes off from the bottom and beats them all by 20 lengths. He does the same thing to the 450's. I've heard he's invested over 10K in that bike (in mods). He also brings 4 sets of paddles. On the other hand, I've seen a white 250 on that hill that's slower than molassas. So it depends a lot on what's been done.

 

A modded 400 pilot cylinder on a R bottom end with over 200lbs. of compression running on methenol would have all of 100hp I think,just my opinion.PSI says 70-75 hp,add some tricks from there it could be done.

 

advertised HP was 39 ( at the crank) out of the box for the 86R's. ive seen dyno's for piped R's running in the high 20's to low 30's range. it's impossible to say now a days seeming as not too many people have stock ones laying around fresh from the factory. the TRX's stock HP range is not impressive, it's potential is extremely impressive with even little mods.
