anyone have one? and if you do does the carb make a noticable difference?

 

i got a 400ex now what bout the carb?

 

notice it says 2004 400ex. they changed the carb for 2004 and im wondering if it made a difference

 

i hope it didn't make a big difference, for me anyways. I just bought a 2003 model, i wasn't expecting a change for 2004!!

 

i read somewhere that the 04 will be faster than the kfx/z

 

Have a friend picking up a 2003 400ex tomorrow for $4,500 OTD. I will see if the 2004 has a different carb. I asked about it and the dealer told me they are the same. I will see for myself.

I know him well enough that he would tell me if he knew anything about the 450r too. He said he doesn't know squat except for a crude cartoon drawing that was sent.

go to Honda's web page and look at the '04 400ex spec's. It says it has a 38 carb. The question is how big of difference it makes, and is that the only thing different, like did they change the cam or anything else. But they for sure changed the carb.

 

i wonder if i can get these upgrades put into my 2003 400ex?

 

you will be able to get the bigger carb and put it on yours. or you could just get yours bored to 38 mm for around $125.

 

i have an 03 400ex and was wondering what size carb that it came with if the 04 comes with a 38mm, also is that the largest (best) carb avalable.?[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img]
