My buddy bought one that was mint for $1200CAD with a plow!!!! It wouldn't run and sat for 7 years in the guys shed under a cover. They are a great machine but they are known to have head and carb problems from what I have heard. His had been running super rich and it stuck a valve. A new valve, gasket kit, and a used carb helped out. The new carb we got was still flooded so he spent $100 bucks and bought a rebuild kit and now it works like new. It would eat a pug after a couple trips before but now it runs like a champ. The four valve head makes them rev smooth and they have plenty of power. If you treat them right and keep it maintained it will be a good machine.

You should get yourself a manual and just fix it ias you get some cash. My buddy could easily get $3500CAD with the plow and everything now. It is nicer shape than most 2 year old quads around here.

I got myself an 86 350 Honda a few months ago. I pai $1050 Canadian for it. It is in rough shape but it runs pretty good. From what I hear the only real problem with the Old 350 was the fuel pump. They were supposed to be pretty tough. For the few months I have had mine I have given it HELL and it still runs good. This is the first time I have ever heard of the 350 having head problems and there are a lot of old 350 Hondas around here. They are the thing to have.

This one i was told by the guy i bought it from was it is not pumping any oil...i checked the filter and it seems dirty. He thinks its the oil pump, has anyone heard of this happening?? as soon as i get the rest of the bolts back from him i can button it back up and see what the problem is. I have new fenders on order and i am restoring the rest from the ground up. I'll post the before and after pics when i'm done it.

All the 350's around here seem to need head work and they all flood. The electric fuel pump is an over stated problem in my eyes. They are almost 20 years old and if you talk to anyone and ask them how many fuel pumps they have put on they will usually tell you only one. One pump for 20 years of driving is not bad in my opinion. I think the tank rusting might be more of an issue. If you are that worried about the pump then get a spare and keep it on the bike. It can be changed fairly easily on the trail......not a bad idea for some peace of mind. The 350 is a great quad and I would love to have one but they are hard to find in resonable shape.

I'm not shure if you misunderstood or not, i'ts not pumping OIL. I have no idea about the fuel situation yet. I'm getting pumped about getting on this thing and making some tracks.
