I know this is the Honda forum, but I had a ques. regarding pricing. I'm interested in purchasing a new quad and I'm wondering how much the dealer will negotiate. Its a 2004 Yamaha Kodiak and they are asking $6,200. Thanks...

 

negotiating with an atv dealer is more like trying to get some on a first date. it may or may not happen. typically, i think the mark up on an ATV is about 20%. that is to say that they buy the quad for 20% less than MSRP. make sure to push on the "Out The Door" price as they will trick you with the "before everything else" price and tack the rest on. the only extra stuff should be tax and freight. do not pay for putting it together. remember, there are more dealers out there, call em out on it. also, just pick up the phone and call all the dealers within 100miles of where you are, ask the lowest OTD prce on the quad you are interested in.
