i am considering getting a 400ex. i have a suzuki ozark and im looking for something with more power and im sure between the 2 the power differences are significant. i dont have to money to spend on a new z400 or anything like that, but i know you can find used 400ex's for reasonable prices now days. will there be a hell of a difference in power compared to my ozark? and what does a 1999 400ex in good condition usually go for? thanks a lot

 

a 1999 400ex should sell anywhere from 2800-4000. depends if its in good condition or stock. my friend bought his without tires, bars, plastic, for 2 grand. when he bought all the parts it was only 2600 in total. he got a real deal. if your selling your ozark, i suggest the wolverine with the 424 unlocker. its a sport/ute, so you wont be missing anything.

400ex's are trail quads with racing and fmx potential.

 

For the power difference your ozark should be putting out aroung 11hp, a 400ex puts out 28-29 stock. There is also a big weight difference.

 

thanks guys, we bought the ozark for hunting and a trail machine. i would like to keep that machine for hunting and stuff like that, im looking for something to rip on the trails a little better and something i can use for jumping.
