Can anyone show me a picture of the Maier front, race plastic for the 400ex? Can you keep the lights? Thanks!

www.400ex.com is a guy named joel who has racing front plastic. I have both sets of blue maier plastic (headlights or no headlights) If you want racing plastic and the headlight, you need to cut the front fenders of the regular style plastic, otherwise lose the headlight and get the racing front.

If you guys haven't noticed. Joel closed the site and is selling his 400EX. I have bought a second set off factory plastic and cut them. The fit and look beter than the Maier and are on $83 bucks at the dealer. I should have pics up on my sitre by this weekend.

Well Conway400, I have been looking at the Maier race front for my 400EX as well. I found that Rocky Mountain ATV has a picture on their website of the Maier 400EX race front in blue. Here is the address to the picture:

You can get the plastic in (I think) 7 different colors. The race front also doesn't have the hole to keep the lighting unit, but I guess you could cut the plastic if you really wanted to keep your lights. Hope I helped you.

Don't forget, Even though you save a little $$$ buying the stock and cutting it, you still have to use your side panels. Your originals are already roached out [they scuff up fast from your boots] and to replace them is $35 a side. Maier race fronts incorparate the sides into a 1 piece nose and since they don't have that glossy shine the factory does, I feel they look better, longer.

That is how I feel. I have only had my 400 since January 15th, and the fenders and side panels look very bad from where my boots have rubbed. The area on the red fenders near my boots are scuffed up, and look somewhat white. The black side panels just have a dull look to them. That it why I have decided to get some Maier. I have thought about the white, or dark blue. I kind of feel that white would be a better choice, because I wouldn't have to buy the tank cover, and scratches wouldn't show on the white like they would on the dark blue.
