Would a higher compression piston be worth it?

I have a Honda 400EX, and I was wondering if I put in a 10:1 compression Wiseco piston if it would be a good idea. Would it really increase power? Would it cut down on reliablity that much? What else could I do to increase power on my 4-stroke?
