TC is Tom Carlson he has been building race engines for a long time. Between him and Micky Dunlap they are probably the two top four stroke builders out there. He does not advertise much, but go to the races and take a look at the four strokes you will see plenty of his products on four strokes. The guy that won the four stroke mod class last year in the GNCC ran his pipe and cam only stock piston and valves. Mike Penland who races in the GNCC as weel and is 9 Time Utility Mod National Champion and 2 time Baja champion which does the tech talk section in the ATV sport magazines runs TC's stuff. Mike is a freind of mine and he swears by TC's stuff. Traci Lenig the woman in the points lead for women in the GNCC also runs TC. I can go on and on but I will tell you sometimes the best advertisment is what is proven at the race track. That is why I am changing all my stuff over to TC. I race some of the GNCC races and I see TC all over the place. Give him a call he is not a flashy saleman he is an engine builder he will shoot you the facts striaght up so don't look for the it beats everything made, give you 15 hp speech he will shoot you straight. 814-723-3514

Just called tc racing. said it was 315. also said it was top pipe at the nations. said doesn't use other header because thats not what he wanted the pipe to be. Pretty good sounding deal. Gotta get a hold of curtis sparks racing and see what he has to say. I'll make my desision from there. Thanks for all the help guys. I'll keep you all posted.

Good luck at what ever you get. I have not rode mine yet so I am not going to tell you it is great. I have seen that it is proven at the track so it must be pretty good. Curtis Sparks I hear is a pretty good four stroke pipe although I think he is know more for his two stroke stuff. I have seen some of his stuff at the track, but honestly I have seen more of TC's.

Dirtdemon, the LRD pipe is non-adjustable and to tell you what it looks like? There is a guy in here that has a close-up picture of it! But, I'll tell you right now that I would get it chromed. I believe the complete system with the pipes chromed is 365.00 and it is definitely worth the money. Let me know which way you go!!! later

Well guys i have decided to go with the curtis sparks pipe. Pipe comes with ceramic header for like 399. For like 550 i can get a cdi, advanced timing key, air filter, and air box lide and jets. Sounds like a good deal to me. I thank all of you guys for your help and opinions and facts.

I stand corrected. My friend just ordered one and told me about it. Since TC began building the 400ex bikes, I have only seen his pipes at the races. I figured [incorrectly] that was the only way he sold them. If Honda doesn't come out with a 400/4stroke by next spring, I'm gonna get a TC480 for motocross and keep my CT440 for GNCC and hare scrambles. Sorry 'bout the mistake.
