Ages for 250ex
#11
It doesn't matter how old you are. Its all in what you like. If you want a quad just to go out and cruise the trails, then a 250EX is fine. If you are a wannabe bada$$, then no quad is big enough or fast enough. Its all in what you want and how much you can afford. A 250EX to ride is better than no quad at all.

My wife wants to start riding, and I have been trying to teach her how to use the clutch and shift thing using my Warrior. While she is starting to get it, she would really prefer to have an automatic clutch.
She's not into going big or fast, but she and I want to get her something that she can still have fun on at the dunes with me when I get my new wheeler...whatever that turns out to be, (probably the new 450r). Not that I expect her to keep up when I go big, but is the 250ex going to just bog out in the sand with a full size adult on the back?
My 350 Warrior has carried both of us up the face of a dune with stock tires on it, which impressed the heck out of me, so I'm thinking that the 250ex could at least handle that with only one rider...? Other than the dunes, I would expect that the 250ex should do fine with her on the back right?
Any help will be greatly appreciated!
PS - If there is anyone in the Boise, Idaho area with a 250ex that they would like to sell, let me know!

Yeah your deffinetly too old. Avoid anything that small, including blasters. If you want a four stroke, go for the warrior, i've never ridden one but i've heard good things. If you want a two stroke, you could wait for the new yfz or trx, or if moneys tight like me, look into a Suzuki LT250r, you can pick one up that needs a few things for around $800-$900. Good luck with whatever you get, just avoid the smaller quads, you'll regret buying one if you do.
