Can someone please help me in diagosing a firing problem with my 88trx250r. Here is the run down. My four wheeler was running great I went through few mud puddles and then a day or 2 later it starting skipping like it wasnt firing correctly. I assumed some water got into the stator so I removed the cover and when I did water poured out of it. I let it dry out and sanded the magnets and stator down because they were rusted however when I put it all back together it will not fire at all. Can someone explain to me how to diagonse if the problem is with the stator, coil, cdi box or what. How do I test with a ohm meter if the stator is putting out what it supposed to? If that passes how do I then check the CDI box with the meter? If that passes what about the coil with the ohm meter? If someone could let me know how to check each one of these components with an ohm meter it would be a great help to me. thank all!!
