Has any one come up with a fix to stop the squeak on the front shocks on their 450 foreman ? I do not want to spend mega bucks on works shocks, Any one else having this prob? I have squirted oil and wd40 all over the shocks but the squeak continues.

I have the same problem and like you I have tried to oil them with no luck. This week I am going to take the front shocks off and grease the upper and lower bushings to see if that works. I believe the squeek is coming from the rubber shock bushing, so I'll try this first and see if it works.

I had the same problem on my 2000 450 es with only 200 miles on it. Try spraying your shock bushings with Armor All. I do this each time I wash it and haven`t had a squeak yet. I`m sure I`ve seen a rubber lube at a auto parts store that will do the same thing but this works great.

Thanks
I'll try the Armor-all first. I use Armor-All all over the rest of the bike so I may as well try it on the shock bushings before I take them apart.

Thats what it is, the bushings. After a lot of mudding mine did it too. I pulled them out and put a light glaze of waterproof grease on last fall and they are not squeaking yet.

The Armor-All works great, no more squeeks. The only noise now is the compression of the shocks.

I had a sqeak on my rancher front shocks also. I tried wd-40 and silicone spray nothing worked. I pulled the lower bolt that attaches the shock and put grease on the bolt then reinstalled. That was my squeak but the spray oils just couldn't get in there. While I was at it, I pulled the other bolts there and greased all of them also.
