Default HERES THE REAL 450R

why did honda go with a unicam?

Yesterday i was thinking that i may have bought a new quad early and should have waited to get the trx450. But now that i see the specs. Its the same weight as the yamaha but with kickstart. Unicam. Lower compression. I mean come on honda, its a big stepup from the 400ex but its not a stepup from whats already available.

I love my titanium valve dohc yamaha.

Finally, Honda has brought something new to the game. Now we just have to wait until January to see how it stacks up to the Yzf450. I hope Honda made this machine a beast.

There are alot of questions that are unanswered by just reading the specs. Until one of us gets to ride it, we wont know how it sums up.

I'm sure it will be a contender at the track with a little work.

I think there are finally two new quads(yfz450, and the thr450r) that will finally rid the pro-production class of the trail oriented z400., and Honda signing Tim Farr, if you havent already noticed, is a Godsent. This now puts all of the other manufacturers under pressure to sign factory racers and will give top racers the money they deserve. And if manufacturers start sponsering racers, then they will start advertising their investment on TV and in the media, taking our sport to the next level!
