manual, u'll have to learn to use throttle and rear brake control to keep it from going over like that,it takes practice, and i'd invest in a tether kill switch, and then if it does go over backwards and you fall off it will just kill the quad,

a while ago i was practicing on my little 100 quad and i fell off about 4 times in an hour and it really started to hurt after a bit... i'm kinda skeered to ride much of a wheely on the grizzly, it comes up way fast and is heavy enough to kill me. the raptor, now that's a wheely rider.

I don't know i have an easier time standing up while i do wheelies .. some people say its harder some say its easier .. i can do them both ways but i can do it in any gear and keep them up for a longer time like that .. on the other hand on my brothers 400ex i can sit down and start off in a wheelie and keep going through the gears untill about 4th anyways.. find the way that feels more natural to ya .. if not then maybe you should try to endo instead.. or maybe not cause that more dangerous.. Don't need anyone getting hurt now ..

i started ta do walkin wheelies just 3 days ago practiced on my z for about 1.5hrs and by the end of the first 30mins i could walk it for over 300ft. now my only limitation is the space i have i use my back yard to practice.

i can even wheelie for a couple seconds with no gas just shifting my weight around ta keep the nose up.

o btw i stood my quad up 22 times tht first day of practice. i started ta find it fun.... manual id say hold on when u stand it up, and if u dont have a chest protector get 1. u dont fell the falls on yr back when its on.

any 1 else do walking wheelies in 2nd or 3rd... i mean goin real slow i find it easyr ta keep the nose up in a second gear slow wheelie thn a first because u can give it gas sharply without the front flyin up.

im now doin wheelies with my left leg over the bars... just gettin into the stunts

well i better b goin this post is gettin long and all outa place

Hey yfzInsanity which you like better yr z or yfz.... which handles best fastest and so on

I Really am yet to decide which i like better .. at first it was a no brainer .. YFZ .. but start running into a few problems and now im Considering getting the Z back .. or maybe i'll try to cut down on riding and get everything fixed and middle of next june-july pick up a TRX450 i know alot of people putting deposites down on them so im gonna sit back and see how many problems they have.. then if they prove dependable im buying one and ditching the yfz.. at this point i wish i had Waited a little longer before purchasing the yfz.

Performance and Handeling would both go to the YFZ .. it has Proven to be very fast and Very close to handling better than the aftermarket stuff i had on the Z

But i would give the z the 1up for never stranding me in the middle of a trail or Quiting on me at the track

Ahh, you guys are forgeting the most important part of the wheeling equation, the rear break! It is simply a combination of throttle, balance and rear brake. The rear brake will keep you from looping out. No need to scrape and bend up your rear grab bar, just stab the rear brake and you will come down, hard.

what problems are u having with yr yami???? i was considering gettin it or a rmz250 i think i will mostlikely go dirtbike since i already have 2 z's.

On a level surface you are right, it won't go all the way over backwards, BUT if you put it back on the grab bar the quad CAN turn to the side and flip. It's best to not rely on the grab bar and instead teach yourself brake control. I learned to wheelie "forever" without every touching the grab bar and I think that is the safest / best way.
